AIG Bonuses – Don’t Get the Thinking

Maybe it’s that contracts were supposed to be fulfilled.  Maybe it was thought no one would pay attention. Perhaps it was imagined that people are usually apathetic and uninvolved many times.  But still I just don’t get the thinking.  A company asks for money from the government so it can survive, it receives that money, and then it gives that money away.  Money that belongs to the citizen’s of this country given to this company as a gift to get back on its feet.  So I don’t get it.  I don’t get the brazen attitude, I don’t get why the bonuses were not delayed until the company was profitable again at the very least, and I don’t get how the company could possibly think this action could be done.  I just don’t get it.
