Indicators of a Team

There are many teams in the world.  Mostly we think of sport teams.  There are times when it looks like a team can’t make a mistake.  We’ve heard that call “in the zone”.

The indicators people are working as a team are not so hard to spot.

Does the team get along?  That means every person works well together. They don’t have to be best friends but they work well together.

Do they help each other out?  That means on any given day someone might need a little extra help and the team members pitch in.

Is there good communication?  The team has to advise each other and keep each other in the loop about where things stand so that nothing gets missed.

Is there a feeling that everyone needs to succeed?  This is a big aspect of team success.  If evey member of the team succeeds so does the team.

Do they feel they are a team?  This is an aspect of knowing they are working towards the same goal together.

These are indicators of a team and it’s great to take a look when building a team.  Even if the team has been around for awhile it is always good to step back and see how it is running.  Coaches and leaders are continually evaluating their teams.

A great way to find out the indicators or ansers is to ask them individually.  See what they say and what they need.

Fantastic read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little investigation on that. And he basically decided to buy me lunch mainly because I discovered it for him .So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! My kind regards, Alline.

OK! Thank you! I constantly needed to write on my site something like that. Can I implement a portion of your post to my blog?
